It has a 15″ throat.

This model is designed for the efficient measurement of plates up to 30″ wide and handles a 60″ long plate without risk of the plate curling from hang-over during the measurement process**.

** Risk from plate curl and overhang refers to the plate touching the ground when measuring the very edge of the plate, the 60″ value is based on the table height of  42″ plus table width of 35/2″ or a total of 59.5″ and it’s assumed you are measuring at least 0.5″ into the plate.
